The Hard Seltzer Crave

Let’s be honest, most of us can attest to having a few hard seltzers last summer. It was a hot one. The hard seltzers were refreshing on those 90-100 degree days with the bright sun beating down on us. The crisp carbonation with fun flavors and a buzz makes it hard to stay away.

Did you know that not all seltzers are gluten free? It depends on the type of yeast it uses. There are yeasts out there that are certified gluten free. That’s the kind that we use in the taproom. We thought it would be fun to brew a hard seltzer for a few reasons. One is that our head brewer, Tyler Burgei, wanted the challenge since it is not something he was familiar brewing before. Also, we don’t brew other gluten free beers and wanted an option for gluten free. We typically get a call at least once a day with that question. Now we have a solution! We offer our hard seltzer with different flavors since we only have one tap dedicated to it. You can choose from raspberry, mango and cherry.
